I havent been to the beach in awhile, I cant remember exactly how to get there.  I know that you go to shinzushi and once you get off of the escalator you turn right but from there where do you go? I know that if you take a left you are walking toward Zushi JR.  Do you take a right there?  I remember a straw looking hut at the corner that you turn left at, I just cant remember where to go to get to that point.

When you get off the train use the exit at the end of the tracks.  Don't go up the steps.  I think the map below is the easiest way, but there may be an easier way.  It is the way I go.

Your map to the beach is good, gaijin. I'll give a text desciption for those who aren't good at reading maps or can't carry the map with them.

At Shin-Zushi Station go toward the exit just past what was the front of the train -- the dead-end of the station where the train can go no further. There are no steps here, just a gentle slope exiting out onto the street. At the exit from the station, turn immediately to the right facing the road. Then turn left and follow the road around the bend to the next traffic light (about 200 meters). At this intersection, turn to the right. You'll now be walking parallel to the beach. Continue walking another couple of hundred meters. You'll pass the Hirako bicycle shop on the right and the Zushi Post Office on the left. At the traffic light after the post office, turn left. This long, narrow road with a painted sidewalk goes all the way down to the beach.

Zushi Post Office is your landmark if you need help. Just ask about anyone for guidance. "Post office" is "yuubin kyoku" in Japanese (pronounced "you bean kyo koo").

For the slightly more adventurous, when exiting the station, you can go straight across the road at that signal next to the station. Go straight into the neighborhood over there. The path will bend to the right where some guy has a curious mix of wooden pieces outside his house. Continue straight after this for 50 meters or so. At the fork, turn left then right again just 10 or 20 meters later. Continue on this path till you see a little park on your left. Go through this park and turn left at the Hirako bicycle shop, and you be across the street from the post office and the aforementioned road to the beach.

I don't think there are any convenience stores or the like on this path to the beach. If you need to get snacks or alcohol, from the post office intersection, look to the north. There is an "Origin" Japanese food shop and a D-Mart alcohol shop on the left near the tree-way intersection. And there is a Daiso 100 yen shop and a drugstore/whatnotshop across the street on the corner.
