We went to Pescatore tonight with friends and it was fantastic!  We took over the place with a large party (about 20 people) and we had a set menu, so I didn't get a chance to look at a real menu but everything we had was simply delicious.  We had bruschetta, salads with smoked salmon, giant steamed shrimp, several types of pizza's, a delicious baked ziti type dish, a really interesting spaghetti that had a pesto-type sauce and those little fishies (the baby sardines) that I was scared to try because it looked weird with all those eyeballs staring at me but was actually delicious.  It wasn't at all fishy or gross and the home made pasta was perfectly al dente.  The food was plentiful and everyone enjoyed it.

The coolest part is they have this "Miracle Fruit".  It's a little red berry and you chew on it for 2 minutes and it makes sour things- like lemons- super sweet.  Eating the lemons was like drinking the sweetest lemonade you've ever had.  And a strawberry after was amazing.

They close early but I hope people will check it out.  The owner was so friendly and his English was pretty good.  I hope you guys will check it out because the food is great!
They have a website but it's in Japanese... http://www18.ocn.ne.jp/~pesca/

Where in Hayama is it located? Off of 134?

Yes, it's on 134. If you go up the Slot Rd (27) turn left at the T-junction, then right at the next T-junction it's on the right a mile or two (past the art museum). It's easy to spot, a big white house with a deck. Park under the house or there is a parking lot next to it.

Thanks. It is actually within walking distance of our house. It should be easy to find because I know where the museum is .

My wife and I went tonight.  We each had a pizza (about 9" diameter).  Years ago they had an English menu but now they don't.  The waitress (I think she is the owner's daughter) spoke pretty good English and was able to help us order.  The pizza was very good.  We didn't get the miracle fruit this time.
