I'm looking for suggestions on a digital camera to replace my fading powershot

My problem is the specifics

1)  Min 5x optical zoom
2)  Low profile/point-and-shoot body style
3)  Non-proprietary USB cables
4)  Takes AA batteries (ie no proprietary battery cells)
5)  There must be an underwater housing available for scuba use down the road.

Anyone have a suggestion?

I, for one, totally love my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15 12MP Digital Camera with 5x MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7 inch LCD. Get it on Amazon for $184 with free shipping. I also saw it at MCEX for about the same price.

This camera meets your criteria #1, 2 & 3. Not 4, and I don't know about 5. Perhaps there are generic waterproof enclosures that fit all camera types? I did extensive research before buying it about a year ago and was convinced for features, price and photographic quality nothing could beat it. After using it for a year, I remain convinced.
