Q: I use the library quite often and find it very hard to find parking around the Community Readiness Center.
To my understanding the lane around the back of the building (fire-lane) is off limits to privately owned vehicles.
However, within the last few months, I’ve seen many cars parking behind the building. I’m not sure who these people are but this space should be open to everyone else as well.
A: I apologize for any inconvenience you may have encountered in your visit to the Community Readiness Center. The location behind the Community Readiness Center is parking designated for emergency vehicles only, and will be closely monitored. Base security personnel along with the staff of the center will monitor any and all illegal parking in designated parking. Should you observe any non-emergency vehicles in this parking area, we ask your support in contacting base security as soon as possible for immediate attention.

You know what I like best about this letter?

"I know the fire lane is off-limits, but I see people parking there"

    leads to...

"And I wanna park illegally also!".

Not a concern that it's a fire lane. Not a care that it actually is illegal. Just a whine because he/she can't park there also.

My classroom stares right at that fire lane and the poster is correct: I see more cars there than a mall the day after Thanksgiving. I should take pictures each day and post 'em on here. YEAH!

(just kidding, I wouldn't do that)
