I am on my way there with a friend who had free tickets. Its my second time ever going to a japanese baseball game. Last time I went to this stadium about 3 years ago, I caught a baseball from out field. it was pretty awesome. Hope something like that happens again... lol

Have fun. Hopefully they win tonight, they lost the other night when I went.
Warning: Eventually, I WILL say something that offends you. This is perfectly normal. My recommendation: get over it.

Do they have mascots like the US? Maybe I will go see 'em next week. That's one of my TO DO things before I leave.

I hope they have fun mascots, like that freaky Philly fanatic thing.

So different!!! We don't have all those songs they sing for each team or for that matter for a single player. Of course they sing the "take me out to the ball game" song, but that is not constant constant like the japanese fans yell throughout the game. I don't know what they are saying or the motions they make, but I will say its interesting and cool to watch.

I wanna go anytime Thurs-on. How'd you get tickets? Is there a website? Can I just get them at the door? And can you drive to it? And can I possibly ask any more freakin' questions? Boy, that's a lot of questions.

I got tickets through a friend who got them from another friend for free. You can of course show up to the stadium and buy tickets. They run around 2000 yen - 10,000 yen depending on where you sit.

There are also discount ticket shops. A friend of mine told me a a few years back he went to over 20 home games that year at Yokohoma Bay Stadium. Sometimes he got tickets for 4000 yen, which were really the 10,000 yen tickets discounted.

He said some companies buy season tickets, and if they dont have anyone to go, they sell them to the discount ticket shops. Then they turn around and sell it for a really cheap price.. They dont want to get stuck with them so I see why they try to unload them quickly.

In the future, you will be able to buy tickets to all venues throughout Japan on JapanBases.com..
We are connecting with several venues, which will allow ticket sales through the website. Its going to be awesome!

All LAWSON convenience stores has media kiosk called "Loppi" and Loppi sells baseball game tickets. You can go to closest LAWSON and ask clerk to help. Loppi's screen are in Japanese, but some of my Canadian friends said that works for them with clerks help.

You should check schedule in advance. Bay Stars' web site doesn't have English page, but you can understand schedule page. You may not understand visitor team's name, but you can see that from icon.

    http://www.baystars.co.jp/game/

You should also check if these games are home game or visitor game. In schedule PDF below, home games are identified by blue (home night game) or light blue (home day game) - they are at Yokohama stadium.

I recommend games against Hanshin Tigers, as Hanshin fans are really crazy and fun to see!
