Hi, I just arrived in Atsugi this week and the NEX here is smaller then I expected. I'm looking for a larger selection of baby gear/items and a new camera since mine decided to die on me. I'm visiting my husband for a month or longer and I couldn't pack everything my son and I would need for the entire time...it was enough to wrestle a one year old so extra luggage was out of the question!

Also, I may need a formal dress while I'm here...any malls near Atsugi?

Luckily there is a plethora of shopping options near atsugi. There's plenty of shopping near Ebina station, at the grandberry mall, there's also queens plaza in yokohama and my personal favorite, motomachi shopping street, also in Yokohama. I'm sure the FFSC has maps yo most if not all of the places, and if you have any trouble feel free to ask!

The "bunny store" out the East gate is great for baby stuff....

As far as clothing goes it depends on what size you are. If you're on the petite side you'll do fine out in town. Ebina is just a couple minutes away and the mall there (Vinawalk) has a ton of stores. Camp Zama is about 30 minutes from here and they have a better selection at their exchange. If you're up for going a little farther, I LOVE Lalaport in Yokohama. It's HUGE.
