Q: Do you have a program that supports the Department of Defense’s “Spouses to Teachers” program? The Web site spousestoteachers.com does not provide enough information for military spouses. I am a spouse, and I would like to get teaching credentials (and financial assistance for it) so that I could teach here on base and when we PCS back to the United States.

A: Spouses to Teachers is a part of the DANTES’ Troops to Teachers program. Navy College Office Yokosuka supports both the Prospective Teachers and DANTES in Spouses/Troops to Teachers program. Glad it was useful Charina. Not many people go through these Q/A's but the last 3 1/2 years of them are posted from the seahawk cut lines. These are all official answers provided by the base which is why no one else can submit new topics. You can however reply to them (agree or disagree)... I think its useful because not everyone will agree with answers received back from the paper and this website allows issues to be addressed and discussed. If enough people see that its an issue, it will eventually be brought back to the bases attention which hopefully can be resolved.

Everyweek, I post all the Q:A's from the SEAHAWK.. They help for people to go back and reference old information, because it never really goes old..
