Golden Week is one of the worst season to tour in Japan, you know... Weather is warm and not too hot, many flowers are in bloom, scenery is good, BUT tooooo many people at virtually every tourist spots in Japan at the period. If you are a foreigner and can choose dates, my advise is to avoid Golden Week. I can't choose dates and go somewhere anyway though... I most likely to go to Chiba to join rice planting event. If interested, give me a message.
