    My husband and I will be PCS'ing to Yokosuka in June with our two beagles.  Are heartworms a problem for dogs in Japan?  Both dogs are currently on a monthly preventative and we were wondering if they still needed this in Japan.  If so, is it available through the base vet or do we need to bring it with us?

    You can get it from the vet and I'm pretty sure you can get it at the NEX too.
    We have a beagle, too. There are others on base with beagles. We can have a beagle party!
