Just got back from the party, we won on ALL FOUR of our raffle tickets, over 400.00 worth of stuff, we gave away the octopus ball cooker to someone who did not win anything. We also got Tshirts for the whole family and those cups, great time Adam and great food...cant wait for next time, the whole family liked it!

I had a great time as well! It was really nice to meet those of you I got to!

I have a packed weekend, but will try to get the pics posted as soon as I can. Heading to bed now...only got 3 hours last night and I have a shoot first thing in the morning.

I am so upset we didn't make it! My daughter was mad at me because she didn't get to turn in her coloring page and get a t- shirt. I caught some nasty stomach bug, which is why I am up at 4 AM on a Saturday morning , sitting in bed on my iPod touch! Ugh. I hope it went well Adam!

Had a great time. The site is so important for the networking aspect, and these kind of events just punctuate why. I got two t-shirts, a sweatshirt, a waterbottle, a mousepad, and a pin. Good thing I brought a bag!

I also got lots of pictures.

I want to thank Adam, his lovely wife, and everyone else who volunteered to pay for, organize, and run his superb event. I had fun doing magic tricks for the crowd, met some really great people, and even won a Pasmo card with a t-shirt that I'm wearing right now. Bravo Zulu JapanBases.Com

And I was looking for you too! I was going to introduce myself, not verbally assault, not that I agree with you all the time but your points are "different", the names on highlighter were too difficult to read....

Thanks Adam  and your sweet wife for the great evening.  My kids enjoyed the food- two of them even had an eating contest to see who could eat the most! LOL.

Magic Mike- Thanks for entertaining my oldest, he was thrilled with your tricks.

Keyshots-  Thanks for the cute picture of my son and 2 other boys.  I have no idea who the other kids are, but the 3 boys spelled out BAD with the baby blocks and put on their fiercest looks- the photo is great!

We won a gift certificate to Nirvana- Yummy Yummy Naan here we come!

The only downer to the evening was the beloved Red Octopus stuffed animal went missing just at the end of the event.    Hopefully it will turn up, this is Japan, where you can leave your camera at the bus station and return a week later to find it.

I didn't expect to be "confronted" by someone... I don't know who he was, but he walked up to me and said, "You like to voice your opinions, don't you?" And I told him all the time. He then said, "I'd say something, but I'm a nice guy..." And proceeded to walk away... He said a couple other things in between, but I'm really hard of hearing, so I didn't catch everything. I don't know who this guy was, but honestly, if you have a problem with me or something I've said, tell me so I don't feel like I've stolen your firstborn or something... I haven't done anything to warrant someone saying that, as far as I know.

I understand I might be taking this out of proportion by saying something about it on here, but it bothers me that I might have offended someone unintentionally.

It sounds like it was I flip'n good time, wish i would have went but i got aggro lol.

Thank you Adam and everybody who organized the event. My friend and I could not get there earlier and arrived just 5 min before your presentation start time. So we did not enough time to have a conversation with participants. I wished I had... Maybe next time. But I think nice people there and food - especially the special JB decorated cake that baked by a lady ( sorry I do not know your name ) was really well made! Anyway, I'm from Atsugi and rarely visit Yokosuka but wish to keep going well for this community. Txs.

Tirani, I drove to work at 6:30am and I drove SLOWLY, and I looked outside my left window the entire time (I live smack-dab by the Daiei).

I looked and looked but didn't see a red octopus. I hope the Japanese didn't turn it into Tacos! (too soon? Sorry if it is too soon).

I lost my beloved Teddy Bear on a bus trip to Holland. i cried and cried over that happy little fuzzy thing. I look back on it not with regret, but with a sense of happiness. My teddy bear (hopefully) made someone else happy.

Hey Adam, maybe instead of one massive party a year, we all (we, plural pronoun of I) have a folder on here for MEET GREET people. And in there, if anyone comes up with super-fun ideas for things, they throw it out there and offer open invites to everyone.

I would like to go to Sea Paradise with Tirani, so that we could find a replacement for that octapus. How would I know about the event? MEET GREET folder. I'd throw out there that I'm leaving JR station next Sat. at 10am and if anyone wants to come along, it's a 8 minute train ride and we get to see fishies!

I doubt Adam is able to respond until Tuesday. I bet this wiped him out.

Tirani, go to Sea Paradise. In a scant 25 minutes there, your kids will gobble up a NEW toy. Mark my words.

Actually he had just gotten it that day on a field trip to Enoshima. He's been asking for an octupus snuggly forever and we finally found one (Sea paradise didn't have any!!). He wants to work in a "Maquarium" when he grows up, the Octopus is his favorite. He asked me today if we could go search the houses of every japanese to look for it. poor little guy. Thanks for looking though!

We were going o go but my little one has a sinus thing going on and conked out early. Bummed we missed it! We had our coloring pages done and everything!

Hopefully we'll make it next time. We would love an earlier event- maybe on a Saturday?

Sorry guys. I really feel things were very unorganized. Its hard planning things on your own. Especially for all the things we had going on. I promise next time will be bigger, and better. I learned a lot from this. Mostly the things I did wrong, I have written down all the things I must improve for the next event.

I have to say to my wife. Thank you! Her and her friends I couldn't of done without their help.

Yes I am exhausted from last night. I slept I until 11am today. I didn't get to bed until about 3am. We had too much food also at the event. I hope some people had the pleasure to take some of it home.

Anyhow, I am glad you all got some great gifts and some food. I made a mistake. I knew I had more gift envelopes. I found them after the fact. There were over $3000 worth of gift cards to give out still.

Like I said above. Organized. FAIL for me :(

I've got big feet (lol), and I've got two types of patent leather ones, leopard print, flip flops and high heels --all in pink. Which ones would you like to borrow, Keith? ROFL.

Yesterday was a treat, looked like everyone went home happy... I only wish I could of met more people. I'm pretty shy in real life (compared to the forums, lol), and it was hard to check out the name tags with out being rude, lol.

And all the items with the logo on it was SO COOL in person. Thank you for making that gorgeous cake!

Keith, I will create an album soon. People will be able to upload their photos that they took. I think Krush has a lot of photos. I can't wait to see them all. My wife and I didn't have time to take any.

Great job, Adam! I had a nice time. I'm painfully shy when it comes to meeting new people, but I was pleasantly surprised having met one of the members from the Anime club that I'm a part of... awesome! There was plenty of food to munch on. The cake looked amazing! I really liked your presentation, especially learning more about the housing agencies plan. That's unbelieveable! All the future JB members will be so lucky to have immediate access to something like that. Overall, the event was great! I got a t-shirt, waterbottle, pen, and also won a sweatshirt from the raffle ticket drawing! Looking forward to the next upcoming event and any future meet-ups in between.

I did get quite a few (somewhere over 100). I haven't had a chance to go through them yet. I've been busy with photo shoots this weekend. =( I should be able to start working on them in the next day or so.

BTW...I am all up for meet ups...as long as I'm not working and no one has an issue with hearing my princess-esque 2-1//2 year old talking non-stop and her occasional tantrum.
BTW...guys can wear pink. Some can actually get away with it too. =)
I went early to try to help, but I have to say that I was a bit lost. Minus bringing stuff up from B2, your wife and her friends had most of the organization down, and I felt like I was disruptive in trying to help organize things. LOL!
