Sorry...wasn't sure where to post this.

I'm looking for someone who is local (Yokosuka/Ikego/Negishi) that is able to do henna tattoos...

    Anyone?

I was going to suggest EDO but I'm unsure if they do Henna tats. I know they did some regular work for my wife and she was pretty happy with it. It's just down the road from the Sagamino train station around Atsugi though.

    Holy c***, Adam!! LOL!
Thanks for the info. At least I have a place to start! LOL!
I should have been a little more clear though. I'm looking for someone who might be willing to come out to a shoot and do some Henna tattoos...maybe someone local who doesn't work full time and could use some extra money. =)

If you can't find someone local this http://www.earthhenna.com/c7/Origin...F-p91.html could be a good option. I think you only need a little bit crafty to use this types of kits.

No, I haven't ordered through them. You might run into the shipping problem. There are a lot of websites selling this products though, one can hope that at least one of them will ship to us here. The only time I got a henna tatoo, a friend had brought it from Morocco.
Good luck with the project, I would love to see the results!

Another option, and this is good for any company that doesnt ship to FPO/APO addresses, is to use www.shipitapo.com. Basically, you setup an account with them that gives you a PO Box, more or less. Each PO Box is setup that whenever something arrives at that box, it is automatically forwarded to your FPO/APO address. The downside is you pay shipping from the company to the PO Box, then a little more shipping from there to your address here. The upside is you can buy from any company... It is free, until you use it...

    Just another option...

    i refuse to use shipitapo
if they cant support us, why would i support them?
I always just find someone else

anyways, henna is cake to do. Just add some water to the powder, mix it up so its pasty, and put in the bottle with metal tip, and apply. do not rub the tip on the skin as you apply as it will show up in the final product (i did henna tattoos on the beach back home for a few summers lol)

If you weren't already a photographer, I would ask you if you wanted a job! LOL!
Where do you get your powder from though?
I'd still rather find someone to do it, but if I can't I will just do a couple of sessions since it will take quite a bit of time for what I want to do. =/

i havent bought powder in years. but dont buy the cheap stuff. the more expensive it is we found, the darker it ends up. mix it to a paste, apply, let sit and dry, then it will flake off. dont peel it off

give it a try, it takes almost no time at all to do. if you have any problems, just email me

Most definitely not. I know there is an instruction...I just can't think of which one it is at the top of my head. Also, I can't remember if it's a navy-wide or CFAY instruction. =/

It's "COMFLEACT INSTRUCTION 1050.3C: Off-Limits areas and establishments in Japan". Go on the Yokosuka site, and it's under "Instructions and Notices", second one down.

Listed with massage parlors and all the fun stuff.

So technically if you don't get a tattoo in a tattoo parlor it's okay...?
