Any issues with getting stuff delivered when ordering online?

Most online stores ship to APO/FPO. Some will charge more. Electronics may be difficult, or impossible to mail. You can always try different places or ship it to family back home and have them forward the package. Some stores won't give you their free shipping deal to APO... some will charge a surcharge (/scowl Marine Corps Museum!) for APO.

It all really depends on the store, but most will. Seems most items take 7-10 days, but I've had some take 2 months.

I recommend Amazon Prime membership.  It's like $80 for all you can ship for a year.  It really comes in great at Christmas time when ordering gifts for family.  Plus we buy our DVDs from Amazon because they are so much cheaper than the NEX.

I have heard that NEX actually does a "price match" with Amazon (and 2 other retailers that I dont remember). If you see a DVD you want there on Amazon for $15 and its $25 at NEX, you just print out the webpage and take it to NEX and they give it to you for $15. Anybody know more info about this?

Edit: Google is your friend indeed. It was actually Wal-Mart I was thinking about, not Amazon. But Wal-Mart sells cheaper DVDs too :-)

"For our overseas customers only: The NEX will match the pricing of current mail order catalogs and e-commerce (Internet commerce) of the following retailers: JC Penney, Sears, and Wal-Mart. Shipping and handling charges, if applicable, are to be added to competitor’s retail."

Yeah, I use the price match thing often for Walmart. It's a pain because you have to actually plan ahead, it takes the impulse shopping away. It's especially great for box set DVDs- I saved like $35 on one because Walmart had it super cheap when it was a new release. Though it's usually easier to just one click shop on Amazon =) I definitely recommend the price check thing though, for camera's, dvd's, music, games. They don't honor bundle prices though, btw.

use ShipitAPO.com or APObox.com for shipping online if you cant get it shipped with usps, ie, they dont ship apo or fpo. They are reliable and quick.

    I didn't know about Amazon Prime. O:

APObox.xom is nice, but calculate your shipping before you press that "confirm to buy" button. There was something the other day I was going to buy that had a super deal, free shipping and everything... then I calculated the shipping from APObox would be a $100 plus. Ouch.

So pretty much everything you order to AP should be small, no flammable liquids (makeup shopping is a bummer sometimes), and it's gets very iffy on electronics and musical instruments. And don't even bother with fragile items like glass or figures unless you know the place packs very well, because it'll show up broke.

I have lived overseas for 7 years and the best/fastest companies to ship overseas are generally: Amazon, Target, JC Penney, Land's End, Wet Seal, Macy's, Old Navy, and Walmart. Not all companies have AP as a state designation but if you substitute CA for the AP, you will still get the item. Nothing over 70 pounds is shipped to an APO address. Sometimes the shipping costs are more than the item itself. I have been known to have friends or family members ship me items because the shipping is cheaper.
