It truly is sickening that people would just stand around and watch this happen.  What's wrong with people these days?!

Vicious predatory pack of feral teens swarm their victim. It's like watching a pride of lions take down their prey on the African plain. The 'alfa' animal deals out the punishment. The cowering bystanders are impotent to react. This society needs to get it's priorities straight before it's too late. I'm thinking of renewing my concealed weapons permit. I live where this took place. Was that too negative?

Regardless of what your job "mission" is, your "job" as a human being is to step in and stop things like this from happening when it is happening right in front of you...

Maybe they should be charged with accessory to attempted murder... Bet that would make people think twice about standing around and watching situations like this go on un-impeded from now on...

Security did little to stop the incident "said on the story above"...

THEY DIDNT DO ANYTHING TO STOP IT! JUST WORTHLESS SECURITY OFFICERS!

I've been watching this story develop on the local news. It's sad but the fact of the matter is the phony 'Security Persons' are required to 'only observe and report' so in actuality the label of 'Security' is misleading because they provide no real measure of security. Previously there was an actual law enforcement officer assigned but the Transit authority decided that it could save money by just having the 'Security' persons. If I had been one of them, I would like to be able to say that I would have disregarded my instructions and intervened. Is it realistic to have expected them to do so and suffer possible disciplinary consequences? Perhaps but what I do know is that I place the blame on the attackers where it belongs. Today in a new development, it was reported that the victim had also requested help from uniformed police officers and was ignored. This story is still developing so stay tuned. OBTW, the attacker has plead 'Not Guilty". It's a strange strange world.

The content of this post has nothing to do with this site. Yes you are correct. I could care less though. This site allows for anyone to be open, express their daily events, share whats going on with the world, share their lives.. My life just happens to be on the computer. When I get bored, I move over to YouTube. When I see something that ticks me off I post it here. You will notice I dont post every single video from YouTube. I dont watch all of them on their website either, but when I see something that either ticks me off, or was big headlines others might be interested in seeing, I will post it.

I do not believe that this is 'Yellow Journalism' because this is a forum and not journalistic media. Here individuals from diverse backgrounds come to dialogue about issues of mutual interest. The site owner directs the scope of what is acceptable. I for one hope that controversial issues are continued to be addressed and not shied away from. I also believe there are many individuals in this world who actively avoid dealing with or confronting anything that is a bit unpleasant and are committed to pursuing a lifestyle devoid of anything upsetting. For me this approach is delusional and eventually will lead to to their traumatic realization their chosen path is misguided. To each his own and the rest of us will just continue to deal with reality.

Why is this beating such a surprise. children are exposed to these actions in the movies they see as well as on tv. many many parents do not supervise--and many more watch along with their kids...

I don't think the actual beating is the shocking part of this story, but rather the fact that 3 adults, 3 grown men, just stood there and watched as a young girl was assaulted. What is wrong with people?

Today's local Seattle news reported that it has been discovered that the victim in the above incident has been arrested twice before. Once for assaulting and robbing a woman of her purse and another time for assaulting a security guard who had detained her friend for shoplifting.
