Wouldn't bother me....times have changed Westpac.  That just means more Japanese genes in the family!  (both my grandmother and mother are Japanese.) 

I would like to accept what your saying ladies but it contradicts what I've lived and experienced for the last 37 years. Besides, we won't really know until that time comes so I'll remain skeptical. And Yoko-girl (Brings to mind Momoe Yamaguchi but I digress), good to know. Both my sons can say the same as far as lineage but I believe they would most likely agree with me. It would be interesting to know how your mother and her mother-in-law got along but you'll probably say that they are/were best of friends right?

E/body has a different story. My grandmother was practically disowned by her family when she married an American GI years ago. Of course, that was post war and things were much different way back then than they are now. I think over the years, our cultures have become more accepting of one another, but there still is that level of prejudice that will probably never completely go away.

I get it that you probably have problems. My own parents were against my brother dating a Latino at first (they've turn completely around, thankfully). And to say it doesn't happen with the younger generations would be stupid... but usually those people are a tad stupid anyway if they're so concerned with something like that in the first place.

Hey I got a tip for dating American woman in Japan!!! You see American woman have these things called curves/meat, from the training videos I've seen from Japan the American woman tend to be more proactive in the sack too. So if your looking to get some skin these are the ones you want to look for... You'll see her walking alone with jeans and a sweat shirt, head pointed down and head phones in (Low self esteem types). Those are your prey if you just want to get your player in the game to score points for you shipmate. Now if your looking for one to really date you'll have to turn your sites on places like the gym and fleet building. At least this way you know she works out lol. Tammy, I havent been following the thread all that closely, but I just went through and dont think anything was that bad. By now I think we all know some of the personalities on the website, and you dont have to look past some things. I feel all that was going on was DEBATING! Sometimes people agree, and sometimes they dont. I dont know any website out there, that is that SERIOUS that people cannot argue or disagree. I ask for people to not bash on one another. You can disagree, but be kind with one another, so you dont have others complaining about something you have said. I want to give people their space. I ask for people also not curse. This is not polite, and again I want to keep those that complain about curse words happy. I have set up a RANT ABOUT SOMETHING - curse words allowed section in the groups. You can say anything you want in that discussion area, so feel free to blast away. The reason why, is no one will see it unless they visit it. I dont want to hear anything about those posts. If you dont want to read it, DONT ENTER. Tammy to be honest, I am busy with so many other things, than to micromanage people right now. I do try to keep an eye on things, but with all the scammers trying to access the site, and me building all these new areas, I just havent really given this post a lot of attention.

I would have zero problem with it. As a white woman married to a black man, I'd be a ginormous hypocrite if I had a problem with one of my children being involved in an interracial relationship (which technically, any romantic relationships of theirs will be interracial).

Lol, I think it's pretty clear that all that have replied have been married. I don't think there is many, if any single woman active on here.

All the single female Sailors I know don't even really get off the base, much less try to diddle off the ship. Too bad because a lot of the Japanese single men I've come across want to date American woman. Well, the ones that are really into English, etc etc.
