Yokosuka Base Second Hand Rose Temporary Closure –

Second Hand Rose has temporarily closed its doors for relocation and donations cannot be accepted at this time.

Families wishing to make donations are asked to hold on to those items until such time as to when they can be accepted.

Please refrain from dropping off large items such as furniture and TVs at the previous location.

The base has a designated bulk trash area for these items.

Thank you for all your support.

As soon as the new location is operational, another announcement will be made and those donated gently used items that are so appreciated will again be welcomed.

Is this designated drop off area for bulky items over there on the corner, right before you turn into the Autoport? Or, is that just for off base trash? Just curious, because that was on my "To-Do" list for today, once I get off of duty...

I don't know about main base, but here at Ikego, you set your bulky items within the fenced in area around your tower's dumpster and a truck comes around to get it. Also, you can call to have it picked up. I'm not sure about the town houses. I have found many great items next to our dumpster that are a part of my household furniture now. My friend got a nice TV that works fine!

bump.. This is in the Seahawk once again, so please everyone be aware that this place is shut down, and do not dump your garbage there anymore.

I think they put a fence up now to keep you from dumping there....just a mere obsticale

Second Hand Rose Grand Reopening – Second Hand Rose will hold its grand reopening from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.,

Sept. 2 and will begin accepting donations during business hours once the store opens.

I believe the date listed above is incorrect. The store will close on Thursday 9/29. They are still open this Thursday 9/23 and next Tuesday 9/27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is a 50% off clothing and shoe sale going on right now and a ton of great stuff available.

They will reopen on Tuesday Oct. 4.
