    Hi Adam

I was just wondering if you plan to continue listing the jobs on here from MWR and the NEX? Just that HR only update their info. every Weds. and its hard for people not living on main base to get to HR to pick these lists up before they go out of date or jobs they are wanting, go to others! Also, is there any way we can get links to the necessary application forms to match these jobs? I have searched high and low for them, on the CFAY site etc. which frankly the job link on there is really bad or non-existent! I know this gives you more work and more to think about but this is kind of an important issue! Any help would be appreciated?

    Hello Jo.

Yes I will continue to post things, I am just working around the clock to finish all the base information. I have slipped a little with keeping information up to date, because I am building more applications right now, then maintaining content.

In March, I am going to be looking for volunteers that would like to assist with apps I am building. There are so many things that are being built, maybe TOO much for 1 person, but I think when its done, its going to shock a lot of people in Japan.

I even built a directory, with every single Church in Japan.. ALL OF THEM!

So there is so many cool things coming, but everything is pieced together, so I cannot just display things yet. I need a few more months to tweak things, and finish the other areas, and in March I should b ready for the full release...

I am trying to build things so its not hard to update, let alone, keep updated by members from the website.

I am sorry, that I have not been doing all the job posting, but they do post it weekly in the Seahawk newspaper. I post the seahawk here every single week. The last 3 years of seahawks are posted in the archives..

I am also working to develop an area for contract companies to post jobs, which I think will be very helpful to the Japan community. You will be able to upload your resume to apply for the job, and the posting company receives your resume directly, and can then contact you if you are qualified for the position. I am not sure if this will work for MWR, because they dont accept resumes, and they have their own forms they want people to fill in.

When i finish the job section, I will get all the available forms, scan them, and make them available to download and print.

For all the members that read this, please just be patient. I know everything is not being up to date like I would like it to be, but in a few months things will really start to change....

    Hi Adam.

I am migrating next month to Yokohama to reunite with my family. However, since I hardly can speak nor write Japanese, I am having doubts if whether I could find a job. I have a degree in accounting and would want to be an office worker or even store clerk in a US base. I know I dont have much of a choice given my inability to communicate in Japanese. Could you suggest any job opportunity that I can grab? Please help me.
    Thanks and more power.

There are quite a few threads on here that have been posted over the last few weeks/months that share information about base employment - you may want to check those out. However, here are a few suggestions:

Search for jobs at: www.usajob.opm.gov or https://chart.donhr.navy.mil/

CFAY HRO site (but I believe most jobs on there are for local hires).

Might want to check Navy Federal Credit Union's or Community Bank's web site for job announcements.

    Good Luck.

    Omar,

What sunshine said is correct. There is an employment and jobs section you posted here. These are mainly for positions on the bases, and nothing pertaining to off-base employment. Not sure exactly what your looking for, but you can check local papers, and what Sunshine also reported.

Eventually later down the road, I will be developing a complete jobs board where all the companies in Japan can post jobs for everyone throughout Japan to apply right online. They will receive everyones resumes through the system and contact them back if interested.. I am working on a few other things right now, but it will be developed. I am 40% done with the code already.
