tulipsonly~any reason you are only interested in Neigishi? i had hoped we would have gotten offered over there....no 4bdrms for a couple of months over there...boohooo
Ikego isn't bad but I have young school age children that will have to ride the shuttle to main base school...
the townhouses lack closet space...but other than that it's okay

Hello Negishi Residents Still hoping to get some insite into homes on this housing base. Please, if everyone would load pics of their home under the housing area of this site and into the appropriate albums. I am looking for pics of 3 or 4 bedroom homes and would REALLY like to see pics of the stand alone homes too. Thanks so much in advance

moving to sasebo next month and she is worried about housing does any one have any advice. She has been online looking for a place but has not found anything. Does the base provide help with any of this?

Seems to be likely that my husband and i will be offered Negishi when we arrive. It's just the 2 of us with a small dog and cat.

How bad is the commute really? It's either we live in Negishi bc the utility costs are a HUGE factor for us. We like to keep the heat on in the winter with such small pets. Otherwise, we may consider an off base house near the main base. I will be taking evening classes thru UMUC which I believe are on the main base...so, since they're so late I'd have to drive..which is fine, just concerned about the cost of gas. Also, is there a train station within walking distance from Negishi that goes somewhere close to Yokosuka base that I could walk on base?
