I stopped by the Christmas Tree Lot in front of the Commissary, and was shocked to see almost all the trees were sold.

I asked the lady at the desk if they planned on getting anymore, and the answer was "No"..

Just wanted to let everyone know, if you havent picked up your tree yet, you better hurry up..

    These were taken last Sunday..

Any word if/when they'll get real trees in this year? I refuse to pay what the NEX wants for a fake tree.

Thanks for the info MissyRN! Were you able to get your tree to perk up at all when you got it home, or was it totally dead? Did you take a few inches off the end before putting it in water? I'll still buy one regardless, but hoping that it doesn't end up a "Charlie Brown Tree" before I'm ready to toss it!

I wonder if those trailers that are on the red brick now are full of drying out trees?

The trees go fast, I'd rather not purchase mine that early so I'm sticking with a fake tree like last year.

@Chancie, yes it perked up a bit, we sawed off probably a good 2 inches on the bottom. We had originally picked up a douglas fir and which is our fav tree when we saw the tree basically shedding half of its needles, so we moved on to the grand firs which still had some life to them. OUr house smelled lovely for about 2 weeks before I think it completely died on us......Still worth it to me even if it was dead

Taking into account the date I posted this last year was 14 Dec 2009. Almost the day after Thanksgiving you will start to see Christmas Trees. If you buy it too early, you may have a dead tree come Christmas if you dont take care of it. They sell some special liquid to keep the health good on the tree. I think its like $1.99 a bottle. They have them usually on the counter at the Christmas Tree lots. If your trying to get a tree this year, plan early. Just take care of the tree and you will be fine.

They're setting up the trees right now and from what I can see they look pretty good and still green. I hope everyone can get a nice one!
