Can anyone confirm if this is the Land Transportation Office downtown where you get your JCI completed in Sasebo?

I am not sure. Are you looking to do this on your own? Not sure if you've ever done it, but we were told it's pretty doggone difficult if you don't speak Japanese. Maybe not though.

It's not really difficult to do your own JCI I've done it about 8 times already and I speak nearly no Japanese the LTO I use is about 600 miles or 966 km away though I'm just validating my LTO coordinates for your area.  I called your VRO and they couldn't provide me with the address or telephone number so I looked it up the old fashioned way I just want someone that's physically been there to validate the location if that's possible.

The people who says it's difficult are those who sell LTO services. People who make the run on their own come back saying it's not so hard. Just sayin...

We were just told by others who had done it on their own and by the people working in the VRO (both locals and USN) that it's difficult...all said the people wouldn't/didn't speak English. Beats me. May not be that way everywhere, but we consistently got the same story from anyone we asked. Neither of the people we bought cars from offered those services or brought it up, so they certainly didn't hoodwink us into paying for extra services. And most of the people who sell cars will do the paperwork in town for free for you anyway, so I don't believe it's a money-making scheme for them. If it is, it's not a good one.

I'm sure it's do-able, but we were than happy to pay a minimal fee to have it done for us and not have to deal with it.  And our other car was done for free.
