Hello All,
I was just wondering how long it takes to get command sponsorship here in Yokosuka. I have a friend who intends on marrying a young woman and she has been asking me about the process. Is it difficult and are there any stipulations other than crimminal or medical that can delay the process?

We got ours really fast(couple weeks), but we were married before coming over here.
Depends on how fast it goes through the chain, if paperwork's filled out correctly, etc. But the main thing is to fill out all paperwork correctly! That's really all you can do to make the process a smooth one IMO.

We got ours really fast too, we just got married in Misawa before we came to Yokosuka, so it was done within about a week or so, very good advice to have all paperwork done correctly, get your friends to stop by their PSD office to see what they need!
